What the assistant can do for you
The assistant reads your records freely, but it changes nothing on its own. Every change it prepares waits for you to answer Proceed or Deny.
What it can look up
Section titled “What it can look up”The assistant reads the same records you can, with the same limits. It never sees a record your seat cannot open.
- Batches: by state (for example not yet weighed, ready for a run, sealed), by material, by site or by date received.
- Runs: by state (draft, running, paused, sealed), with what went in, what came out and what is unaccounted for.
- Consignments: outgoing and incoming, including what is waiting to be received.
- Where material came from and went: it walks a batch back along its chain, or forward to what it became.
- Evidence: which batches are missing evidence, and what is missing.
- Tasks: what is waiting for you, what is overdue, and the tasks on a record.
- Leads and partners: material offered by call or email, and who you deal with.
- Totals and breakdowns: counts, sums, averages and figures per material, per site or per month. These are worked out from every matching record, not from the few it lists.
- RezetHub’s help pages: it can read a help page to explain how something in RezetHub works.
When it answers, it links to the records it used.
It will not guess a figure your records do not hold, such as a forecast. It says I will not put a number on that and explains why.
Changes it can prepare
Section titled “Changes it can prepare”Depending on your seat, the assistant can prepare changes such as:
- Runs: draft or start a run, pause, resume or abandon it, record what went in and came out, record the people who worked on it, correct worked hours, and seal it.
- Batches: receive a batch, name its product spec, record an inspection, commit material to a run or a consignment, seal it, recall it, and publish its passport.
- Consignments: declare a consignment, add or verify a custody step, receive it, seal it, recall it or write it off.
- Reports and compliance: create or change a saved report, publish or unpublish it, request a consignment report, and withdraw a conformity record.
- Evidence: add, rename or retire an evidence category, attach evidence to a record, and change its caption, order or category. Keep a phone capture session open longer, or close it.
- Settings: add or change kinds of work, retire a kind of work or a product spec, register, change or retire a scale, and set a site’s time zone. An administrator can also add an entry to the organisation’s memory.
- Notes: add, rewrite or delete a note.
- Tasks: ask someone to do something, take a task on, mark it done, hand it back, reassign it, change its due date, archive it, and add or remove the records it concerns.
It only offers what your seat may do. If you hold the read-only seat, it proposes nothing and tells you who can.
Things it opens a screen for instead
Section titled “Things it opens a screen for instead”Some acts need you at the screen, so the assistant offers a button that opens the right page instead. For example:
- Weigh RZ-0181 — opens the scale screen. A weight comes from your scale, never from the assistant.
- Print labels for RZ-0181 — opens the label screen
- Start a run with RZ-0181 — opens the new-run form
- Send RZ-0181 — opens the new-consignment form
- Invite an operator — opens People
Pressing the button opens the page with what it could fill in. Nothing is saved until you submit the form yourself.
Things it never does
Section titled “Things it never does”- Weigh material or upload photographs. Both need the scale or the camera.
- Accept or decline a lead.
- Rename itself, change the organisation’s memory entries, or delete anything from your memory.
- Turn the Email or Phone Assistant on or off, or change their addresses and numbers.
- Send a recycling certificate.
The plan of attack
Section titled “The plan of attack”When you ask for a change, for example “seal the two runs that are ready”, the assistant answers with one card headed Plan of attack and the number of steps.
Each step lists:
- the records it acts on, as links;
- what will happen, in the same words the screen uses. For example: “This commits 120 kg to the run. Nothing else can use that material while the run holds it.”
- where it depends on another step: “Runs only if step 1 runs.”
To answer:
- Read every step.
- Tick Leave this one out on any step you do not want. A step that depends on it is left out too.
- Click Proceed to carry out the rest, or Deny to change nothing.
After Proceed, each step shows what happened: Done., Refused, nothing changed with the reason, Skipped, or Left out, not run. The card ends with a line such as “Proceeded. 2 of 2 steps done.” After Deny it reads “Denied, nothing was changed”.
To change a value in a step, such as a quantity, do not edit the card. Tell the assistant, and it prepares a new plan.
The rules a plan follows
Section titled “The rules a plan follows”- It is recorded as yours. A step you approve is recorded under your name and your seat, exactly as if you had made the change on the screen.
- One plan per answer, at most 25 steps. Anything past that is listed under Not proposed. Ask again once you have answered.
- Some acts stand alone. Recalling, abandoning, writing off, deleting, withdrawing, publishing, unpublishing, retiring and archiving each come as a plan of one step, so you answer them on their own.
- Only records it has read. The assistant can name only a record it has read in this conversation, or one an earlier step of the same plan creates. A step that names anything else is not proposed.
- No more than three waiting. If three plans in a conversation are still unanswered, it asks you to “Answer the plans already waiting first”.
- Plans expire. A plan left unanswered for 10 minutes expires: “This plan waited too long for an answer. Ask the assistant again.”
- A refused step stops only itself. The other steps still run, except those that depend on it.
- Carrying out a plan costs no AI credits. The question and the assistant’s answer do. See AI credits.
Plans waiting on a task
Section titled “Plans waiting on a task”When the Email Assistant reads an email, it can prepare a plan too. That plan waits on a task rather than in a conversation. Open the task in your task list, read the steps, and answer Proceed or Deny there. Each step is checked against your own seat before it runs. See Email and phone.
